Road to Glory - "Skills" points?

So I popped in NCAA 2011 last night and was playing around. Decided to create a HB and run him through the RTG.

I got through the HS playoffs, no probs understand all that went on. Went on to college, and did my first few practices, and got to my first game.

As second string I got to see some play time, hit some nice runs, blah blah. I did ok for my first game. Then at the end of the game it showed this graphic showing me having some amount of "Legend" points ( don't remember the exact name), and then under that showed "Skills: 0" .

I was baffled as to what that related to. Does anyone here know? I glanced through the manual but saw nothing mentioned

You get skills for scoring touchdowns, making tackles etc.

Thanks for the explanation. I know I had scored a few times though. I'll keep playing and see what happens.

It might be like Season showdown where only certain plays get skill points, like throwing for a touchdown instead of running.
