Re: Best stats for quarter length?

I've found 8 minutes to be a good length. I've heard 9 gets good results as well.

I use 9 minutes myself. Keeps games averaging 65+ plays a game. Takes about an hour to an hour and 15 minutes

Re: Best stats for quarter length?

Thanks for the tips...I'm going to try out 8 mins because I had a dynasty using 5 mins and I could barely get 150 yards passing with Texas but my rushing stats were good. I think the accelerated clock also made it harder to play on 5 minutes than previous versions.

I'd say it takes an hour. An hour and 15 minutes at most.

Re: Best stats for quarter length?

My first 3 games on 8 min quarters.
Texas 51 - Rice 10
Texas 56 - Wyoming 10
Texas 57 - Texas Tech 41

All of those teams have weak defenses, so it's too early to tell if I will have a harder time scoring that many points for the rest of the year.

Can you see if the total number of plays for your game is similar to the cpu vs cpu games?

Re: Best stats for quarter length?

I'm playing 7 minute quarters in my online dynasty and averaging about 100 plays per game, slightly under the real life average of 120ish. I've been thinking about bumping it to 8 minutes.

On 7 minute quarters we appear to be about 50 plays lower than cpu vs cpu games. I guees 8 or 9 minutes is the sweet spot. Why cant they ever get this fixed for those of us that dont have 1:15 or 1:30 to play a game.
