Dumb on-field issue (Names)

I posted this in the roster thread but not sure if it's roster related but probably is.

I download a roster file and the edit team screen has all the players named BUT in game on the field no names show up under the players.

Is there a setting I'm missing or is it a roster issue?

Notre Dame, Northwestern - no names or position number if using unnamed rosters show up
Miami of Ohio works fine

It's pesky but the official word is that if you are using a team in which names don't appear on players' jerseys, then they won't display under the player during gameplay.

Annoying maybe, but I find it quite clever.
