I swap MLB's to OLB and I use run stopping or balanced DT's and move them to DE if I can't find the players I want.

A lot of the coverage LB's get moved to SS if their zone coverage and PRC ratings are high enough.

I'm no too concerned with the awareness since you are basically asking them to rush the passer most of the time.

IT doesnt take a rocket scientist to do that.

It kinda does, since in the game, even the highest ranked LB's take HORRIBLE angles to the QB.

I think that is underestimating how important the awareness attribute is for all players in one or another, which is why I don't agree with how low the awareness ratings are for some players.

Re: recruiting 3-4 OLBs

Got 4 guys, two of them 80 overall, the other two were 74. After switching them to OLB the two 80's were 75 and 74, both of them losing at least 12 points of awareness. The 74's dropped to 69 and 67, with the 69 losing 10 points of awareness, and the 67 losing 13. Makes me wonder how much of the rating hit is awareness, and how much is actually intangibles for the position.

I'm curious about these position changes too, thinking about switching Wisconsin to a 3-4. If anyone has any tips on what type of players to look for, ones that make the transition well, please let me know.

I do think that players who you've changed position on get better training results, at least in the first training, as they actually LEARN the position. I could be mistaken, but it seemed to work this way last year.

Re: recruiting 3-4 OLBs

I agree with the idea of getting a smaller DT is you can't find a DE who fits your 3-4 scheme, but what happens when the computer recruits for 3-4?
