Recruiting points being visible-A second look

I wasn't really upset like many others when it was first announced, but I didn't really care for it, now, however, I think its great.

How do you now feel about the recruiting points being visible?

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Re: Recruiting points being visible-A second look

I think recruiting as a whole is very well done this year. In my offline franchise with Bama I've only nabbed six recruits through ten weeks (three 5* and three 4*) and I'm down to tenth in the recruiting rankings.

I have to admit when the number's were first introduced I was a little worried. My two biggest concerns were because of the ability to see the number's and because we didn't get to pick our topics. But, after giving it a few weeks, the only thing I can say is I love recruiting and I actually look forward to it each and every week.

Re: Recruiting points being visible-A second look

I feel that recruiting is less of a chore this time around and feels more like gambling. It makes it more enjoyable for sure and the interface improvement also helps you get done quicker.

As far as seeing how you stack up against the competition by points, I am loving it right now. It lets me see if I want to spend time to pursue a recruit or just give up entirely. I'm not all that intuitive on the system as I hadn't given it much of a chance in recent years but I intend to get into this system quite heavily. I was just sick of the CPU recruiting so many 1 and 2 * QB's and HB's the last few years.

I just wish the numbers were more exact. I dont like how it rounds 20 point intervals.

I'm really liking the new layout this year as well. The random topic thing sort of feels like the recruit is guiding the conversation which is probably not very realistic but is actually more enjoyable IMO. I actually find myself getting a little more immersed in the conversation text than before.

Re: Recruiting points being visible-A second look

I was a huge naysayer when it came to the points being visible, but with the way recruiting is done this year, in the end it is probably necessary to show some form of points.

I would still like it to be more vague as far as how much you are up or are trailing other schools but admittedly, it isn't nearly as bad as I originally thought it would be.

I'd actually like it to be even less exact.

I agree. I always do it first before my game.
