Thinking of switching...

I've always played NCAA and Madden on the 360 but after getting a PS3 for The Show I'm debating on wether or not to make the switch totally. Any advice or pros and cons is greatly appreciated.

Re: Thinking of switching...

I have both. I run a XBOX 360 Madden league called the JFL and an NCAA Dynasty as well. I stayed on the XBOX 360 for two reasons.

1. All my friends were on the 360. A bunch of us have played together for years so I did not want to lose them.

2. You do not have to pay to make a screen name on the PS3. Why is this important? Cheese players can just alter their names or have multiple names.

I would keep your sports games on the 360.

Oh one last thing... maybe it's just me but I think the controls feel tighter on the 360 for sports games. I bought NHL 10 for the 360 and LOVED it. Then my friend at work got it for his PS3 and he talked me in to trading it in for the PS3 version. I did and found the control to not be as responsive to me. Ended up not liking the game anymore.

Re: Thinking of switching...

I actually did this last year!!! Completely converted to PS3 and the NHL game was deciding factor I thought the controls were more responsive on PS3 I also think there is more sway in the sticks on PS3 giving you better analog pressure sensitivity! If you are concerned about "cheesers" get playstation network plus!

Re: Thinking of switching...

Since EA's sports games are almost always better on the 360 (because they create them on that system and port them to the PS3) I tend to believe the 360 is the way to go.

Re: Thinking of switching...

I don't actually play online becuase I could never bring myself to buy everthing you needed for the 360 in order to play online, but with the PS3 I don't have that issue and really all I would get online for is NCAA rosters and patches that might come along for NCAA and Madden. It kinda sounds like I have my mind made up already, but I guess my biggest fear is the controller change.

Re: Thinking of switching...

The controller change isn't any issue at all IMO, I play both without any problem.
