Nice I appreciate that.
The video did show a few of the problems that Wishbone has, on the Power Option to the short side at about 2:58, your FB did his job but the HB who was responsible for lead blocking that play upfield go so far laterally that he took himself out of the play. Any ideas on how to stop that? My only idea is to either motion him into the I (in that case, the LHB motioned right, behind the FB) OR motion him out into the slot, but I think that would hurt the timing even more.
The same problem happens on the Triple Option on the very next play, that HB gets so far outside that he is out of the play. The only other idea I had was that the ability for that HB to block is based on his Run Block rating. If that is the case, I wonder what would happen if you put a FB or TE in that spot?
You had a ton of success running to the weak side of the formation, which I'll try out next time I have Wishbone in Wake's book.
