O.K., now for a really stupid question: what are DDE's?

DDE are XBOX related it's DIRTY DISC ERROR. The PS2 disc problem is DRE which is DISC READ ERROR. It's basically the same thing with different names, that is lots of dust and dirt etc etc on the disc.

not the same thing - DDE is a conspiracy and DRE is just a dirty room....

But hte problem comes when you have a brand new game with no dust or dirt on the game and you get a DDE, that's why I'm considering trading in the xbox because at that point it's the system's problem.

Don't trade in the system, it's EA Sports problem. They are doing something to the dvd that messes up the xbox, it happens with other EA sports games, I had htis happen with fifa and went through 2 copies of it.
Someone with authority, :cough:OS:cough: needs to call EA sports on this and find out a definitive answer. Or they'll just be doing this through 2010.

It's not just EA's problem. The game that had BY FAR the biggest amount of Dirty Disk Errors was Morrowind. It must've happened to me 20-30 times, but I still kept trucking. In that game, it was caused by large save game files. I have no clue what causes it in NCAA 2004, but a brand new Xbox does seem to cure the problem.

Out of all the games I have played, only ncaa2003, and 2004 has had this problem! It is ea doing this, you can argue but I have never had a game freeze up unless it's an ea sports title on the x box!
