What player do you control on Defense and why?

I usually play a defensive end cause I like to pass rush. I'll play as a saftey if I know it's a pass down and it's late in the game to see if I can get a pick. But usually it's a defensive end.

Safety, Linebacker, or if I'm making mistakes with those two I'll switch to a D-Line. I like using Boise State, they have a Star safety, and I'll time it just perfectly and sprint down and jump the snap and be in the QB's face in less than a second. It's so awesome when done correctly. I just did it to a buddy online and he panicked and as he threw it I decked him, it wasn't a duck either, he got the pass off but I user picked it and ran it back, all because of my great timing jumping the snap and creating good pressure.

So, do you guys just strafe (sp?) with safety and MLB? Or do you just sprint around?

I'm gonna keep practicing with it... I keep screwing up on man coverage resulting in big plays for the CPU

I strafe to where ever there is an open man or where ever I think the ball is going to be thrown.

Cornerback, interceptions have been seriously toned down no longer can I get 15 a year, it's more like 4-8 and I love the challenge.

MLB. Like to control the D, and stop anything going towards the middle of the field.. rarely will I use D-Lineman or DBs.

I always play with whoever has the lowest OVR rating out of the LBs and Safeties. Preferably a freshman if available. I want to add CBs into that mix but the control of the players hasn't gotten back up to that precision level that I'm looking for in the current generation of these football titles.

Last gen, I used to play as the lowest rated CB. The control/movement of the players was a bit better which let me play the CB effectively. Now, not so much.

I love the underdog though, so I try to get my sorriest player and make em shine. Its a great challenge especially with a low block shed rating. I'm usually getting man handled out of the play, so its rewarding if I can actually get in on a tackle. No switch rule also.

I play as MLB exclusively. For me there is a real satisfaction in reading a running play, rushing through the hole and getting a TFL. I used to play as a DE but that got boring to me.
