Is ridiculously overrated in this game.
And If I engage 8, someone should never be able to to a hb draw warp through the line and go 90 yds for a td.

Re: LSU

Why not?

When you engage 8, you're taking away an entire level of the defense. Normally a defense against a run has 3 levels: d-line, linebackers, safeties.

If your defense gets clogged up and the RB can bounce outside your clogged defense, then he only has 3 players in coverage to beat...one is on the opposite side of the field, and the RB has at least one downfield blocker.

Pretty much this this this... Engage Eight is a pass defense play designed to not allow time to throw, not a play designed to stuff the run.

Without bouncing outside. Literally straight through everyone.

Re: LSU

I've seen it happen. It only takes a broken tackle or two.

As Dakkon said, Engage 8 is not a run defense. If your Engage 8 doesn't stop a RB in the backfield, it's going to be a huge run.

Let me be more clear, he warped through the line no broken tackles..and yes i keep my gameplan at conservative for both big hits, and strips.

I've also seen that. And I saw Connecticut do it. Not LSU. It's not an LSU thing.

LSU in general is ridiculous, with Jefferson breaking every tackle he encounters, and Tolliver being Randy Moss' clone.
