Re: Is there a point to returning kickoffs?

I have not had any problem with kickoffs or punts.
I do agree that punts are hard but i think they should be kinda of hard to return.
i had a 106 kickoff return last night where i beat #1 wisconsin and i was northwesteren (28-25) on all american.
I would say they are both perfect on AA.

I returned 2 kickoffs last year in my dynasty I think its just right. Punts on the other hand are impossible to return.

last night in my ND dynasty, i returned the opening kickoff against western michigan all the way for a TD. only to have it nullified by a holding penalty.

Punt returns are the problem with me. I play with FSU and return with Greg Reid and I very rarely get more than a 5 or 6 yard return. The blocking is terrible.

It's borderline cheese, but I get 15-20 if I use punt block return, it'd be better if the CPU punters didn't kick it OB half the time I picked it though.

I've played more games today since my original post, and still the AI returns are the same every time. There is a big pile-up between the 20 and 25, so they start on about their 22 yard line every single possession. I even shorted my kickoff slider, it is down to about 20 now, still the same result when I kickoff.

Re: Is there a point to returning kickoffs?

Well, I can tell you all why returning punts is so hard. You probably noticed this anyway, but I did a test on some instant replays today. The AI coverage guys are so fast, they run about 2 yards for every 1 that the human returner covers. Its almost like the old Nintendo game Tecmo Bowl out there, for those of you who remember that ancient relic. Not sure the circle move will work in this game, however.

Really hope this will get fixed. Not holding my breath, but it would sure improve the game.
