I dont know for sure but for some people here it seems that if you schedule tough OOC games and win them you have a much better chance at getting an invite.

I've heard the same but I don't think it has been confirmed definitively. I want to know b/c I'm using a MWC TeamBuilder squad from San Diego hoping to get a Pac 10 invite.

Re: Does OOC scheduling effect...

This year is different than past years. I always play with ULM and I would get an invite into Conference USA then to the SEC. This year I got an invite directly to the Big 12. I did go nuts with the custom conference feature, so that might be the deal.

The only thing I know for absolute certain is that you must have a prestige higher than that of a school in the conference you're moving up to.

So, to move into the Big 12, for example, you need at least 3 stars, so you can replace one of their 2-star programs, Baylor or Iowa State.

I think playing teams from the conference you want to move to helps.

Consistently beating Iowa State and Baylor, for example, makes it harder for them to increase their prestige, and may actually work toward them dropping a prestige. Meanwhile it should factor a small part of you gaining prestige.

Additionally....you kind of need to be in the right region with the conference you'd like to move to. Memphis may be too far east to join the Big 12 (though it's close to Missouri, so maybe not). Memphis, being in a state with two SEC teams, however, is unquestionably in the right region to join the SEC.

Re: Does OOC scheduling effect...

I think it does for sure.

I took MTSU to a 8-5 record in year one and finished 4th!!!!!! in the Sun Belt and got an invite to the SEC to replace Vandy who I had beat 52-14 @ Vandy, thanks to VU's 7 turnovers.

I was pumped because my Conference Prestige went from D+ to A+
