Icon5 Brain Kelly Offense

what playbook on NCAA is like his offense in real life? I am planning to go there If I get a offer. Don't he run a air raid type offense?

Thanks,

John

Re: Brain Kelly Offense

he's the coach for Notre Dame so he runs the spread and you can use the spread or the Notre Dame playbook

Ya, I knew he was the coach of ND lol. I have heard the default playbook for ND don't represent his offense at all.

Re: Brain Kelly Offense

I'm interested in this myself, seems like too many I-Forms and such for being an "Aggressive Spread" offense..

Re: Brain Kelly Offense

He runs a brand of spread that thinks like an air raid, but it's a little more vertical than that. It's absolutely a pass first offense, but when there are runs they are usually off-tackle, power and delay plays. Can't think a playbook thats like that though. Try the Air raid teams, but don't forget it's no huddle.

Oh and whatever playbook you choose to authenticate Kelly's offense, tune how you run it to the strengths of your QB (ex. Tony Pike= vertical pass, Zach Collaros= read option= spread option). It has to be a versatile playbook in that way.

Re: Brain Kelly Offense

If ND's offense is a year behind in-game, wouldn't it stand to reason that Cincinnati's would be as well? You might check their playbook to see if it's still Kelly's offense.

(I would check rather than posting a shot-in-the-dark suggestion, but I don't have the game yet. I can't buy it in Quebec. It'll arrive this weekend when my mother visits from the States. )
