What exactly is this? Does it affect anything, i.e. Recruiting? Should I not run up the score? Can someone help me out with this.

doesn't affect dynasty at all. it's for season showdown.

It's useless. I usually try to be a good sport anyway, but if the other team scores some stupid garbage time TD on me or hurts one of my players, I'll go into mega-unsportsmanlike mode and try to embarrass them.

On a side note, I think it's hilarious that the game penalizes you for things that the CPU does constantly. I was playing a 2 star team losing big to a 5 star, and they were coming out 4 and 5 wide in the 4th quarter and still heaving it all over the place. In my head I was thinking, "-75 sportsmanship... -100 sportsmanship... hey, you guys are SCREWED in Season Showdown!" It was kind of annoying though. They scored a really late touchdown on me to go up by like 65 points (no kidding) and the announcer even started talking about what bad sports they were. Kinda funny.

that's when u just sign off the internet so the stats aren't reported and u run up the score all u like!
