Slide protect to the RB side right? That is, to the strong side of the play, away from the unblocked DE?

I'm not so sure slide protect does anything. For one, the Devs confirmed before release that slide protect didn't do anything on run plays. For two, with the new assignment AI, that'd probably all kinds of screw it up.

It has a placebo effect on me! Oh and btw I meant slide protect on non-read plays. Gotta do it straight up with the read

i can run the zone read effectively now, you just need to put a tight end in the slot opposite where you're running it, hopefully the tight end can pick off that blitzing olb

yes it does, i know for a fact if you go aggressive "slide protect" your lineme attack the defensive line right off the bat, instead of basically taking a pass drop

not on run plays. ive used it last two years and they said they removed it this year except on draw plays. i went through all run plays in nebraska playbook and only ones that work are draw. the linemen block to the same no matter what. the play art only changes on draws. i still do it because of old habits but has no effect on run plays other than draw. just like the dev. said.

go into practice mode and see. only takes a minute or two and you will see.
