This should be common sense, but for every video game that you play (not just NCAA) you need to have multiple save files to prevent this sort of thing. For NCAA I save a new file at the end of every season.

Hopefully this will be a tough lesson learned for you.

Yeah, it sucks that it happened to him, but I always have 3 current save files for every video game that I'm playing at that time. I've never had anything go wrong, but I'm totally paranoid that something might go sideways.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Why didn't you have any backup files.

Always have backup files!! All my past dynasty years are saved in seperate files for each year. In my current dynasty I have a backup save.

If that happened to me and i had no backup file I wouldn't be able to get back into another dynasty.

Re: halfway through my 7th season at Memphis.

happened to me too ;(. in my western kentucky dynasty, i just recruit and sim the games. i was hitting it hard one day trying to finish out an entire season in that day, i turn auto save off since its faster to get through the season this way. well anyways it ended up crashing and the only backup i had was from a previous season. i havent touched the game in a few weeks and really lost the will to continue that dynasty.

i started up a washington state dynasty the other day and im playing sparingly, but the lost of my previous dynasty still stings.

this is exactly what I do. like for NCAA 10, my MTSU dynasty had a file for each year, MTSU09, MTSU10, MTSU11, etc...

after the BCS NC game, I save for that season for the last time, then make a new save for the next season, then advance to off-season. this way, I can also got back, load up an old save and check out my stats/roster for any year in that dynasty, etc... been doing this for years now.

I never had any dynasty file get corrupted yet though.
