Fumbles when diving to the ground should be removed

I'm not exactly sure why this is like this on both NCAA and Madden, but if I am in the open field and decide to dive, there should be only about a 5% chance (if that much) of me losing the football on the way to the ground. Why does there have to be such a huge negative impact in situations where I want to give up trying to get extra yardage?

I have to disagree with your comment. Losing the ball while diving is one of little details they have correct. If it happen two and three times a game then that may serious issue otherwise it's not a big deal.

I agree, Dee. Especially when you mean to slide as a QB only to dive into a crowd of players and instantly lose the ball. They need to map the slide to something else instead of having to double tap the dive button.

It happens more times than not, especially with QB's. In general, QB's fumble way too often. Overall, the fumbles are pretty good but if you are forced to scramble with your QB and he doesn't slide, fumble....I can understand if the QB gets hit from the blind side but when running it is almost automatic (unless you are using a running QB).

I agree. If you don't do a QB slide with the QB or dive forward with any player, 85% of the time its a fumble. Makes no sense. You should only fumble when diving when you stretch the ball out for the endzone, and well, EA doesn't have that kind of detail in the game. Fumbles while diving forward need to be reduced greatly.

I'm pocket passer that's probably why it does not happen to me. However, i have
seen it a few times online to other players.

Agreed. I believe in one single game against an over aggressive user, my QB fumbled a total of 6 times while scrambling. Of these 6 fumbles, I'm pretty sure at least 3 of them happened while in the dive or slide animation.
