Playing Choops 2k8 the past 2 weeks made me think hard about this topic. I asked my self why I like a game that was 3-4 years old. I fell it has gameplay issues but I can over come them because of the deep dynasty mode. while I would love both to get improvment I just know EA will only address one or the other.

Imo good gameplay is necessary for a good dynasty, so gameplay comes first.

Same thoughts as me. There are a LOT of tiny gameplay annoyances in that game. But Legacy is so great, everyone keeps going back.

Yep. Gameplay depth makes you want to play. Mode depth allows you to keep playing.
