What Plays Defend Screen Passes?

I use the Multiple playbook, and I don't know what plays to call to defend screen passes. I tried using the search funtion on the site before I made this thread, but the search didn't help one bit...All the results were for random stuff...Tried putting screen pass in quotes, and that didn't work either.

Ha...pretty much. It is a dangerous play in the right situation.

If you are in man, you have to make sure the guy covering the RB can get to him without having to go through several of your own defensive guys...

Zone works best...as it does against the run...since you have people back peddling watching the play unfold and they can pursue it.

It can be a wicked play if called at the right time against the man-blitz defense. I have had more 30+ yard passes with the Screen to the RB than all other plays combined...online and offline.

Anytime I play someone using Oregon, and I know they are passing, I play the pass and key on James just in case it is a called Screen Play.

Man lock or cover 2 zone with outside contain rush with your DE's. If they have high enough AWR they might even pick it off.

press cover 3 has usually worked for me. if you know its coming spread out your d line

i usually play man press, then controll the DE and dont rush the QB, just play the screen.

Man D with the DE's contain rushing. Don't play zone.

Some kind of coverage where LB is in man coverage with the RB. I control mike backer and if I see offensive line pull out to certain side I try and jump screen.
