I'm guessing it has to with roster size like others have mentioned, as well as your actual roster make up. In my current dynasty I started at Cincinnati and stayed for five years, then quit and took over at CU which was a 2 star program at the time. One of my early years I had the minimum number of DE's and WR's you are required to have without the computer adding walk ons. At the end of the season I had both a WR and DE transfer in that were higher rated than anyone else currently at their position. It also helped that they came from schools that were stacked at their position group. Since then I've always had solid depth at every position and have not had a transfer in 4 years.
