Question about updates and rosters...

I have a friend who is wanting to have a little torney soon. Anyway he don't have xbox live or anything so he asked if there was a way he could get the updates and rosters. I told him i know I could get him the rosters but I didn't know about the updates/patches.

He has a xbox elite and I have a xbox slim with the 250 gig so I would have to use a USB ( I have a 4 gig USB I found that has worked on my xbox slim before but can it work on his?)

Sorry for the rant but I needed some help on how I can do this. Thanks guys

Xbox live is silver (free) is all you need to download the patch. Create an account and plug into internet briefly to download the patch.
