I do good with the counter play, can get about 10 yards w/ the back or around 7-10 w/ the WR taking it.

Helps also if you recruit a speedy QB, and he doesn't need to be good. I've gotten a 2* QB who was the fastest in his class, and really developed well in the wildcat/spread option plays to counter my pro qb. It will keep the defense from blitzing everytime.

I know TCU has that screen play in their Wildcat. I always used formation sub and put my QB in so he gets the ball and throws it back to the RB

I love that screen play out of TCU's default playbook. Too bad I didn't care for much of the rest of it.

Re: How to use the wildcat?

I know I have that play that you're talking about in the Arkansas State playbook...and I think it's called Sweep QB Screen-- and I put in the Wildcat formation sub so it's RB to RB. I love seeing the defense collapse and then throwing it back across the field a la Eric Crouch when he was at Nebraska...and you're right it's either blown up in the backfield (terribly) or there's no one out there and you get at least 5-10 yds. Probably more yards if you're a good team...but come on... it's the Red Wolves.
