What affects training?

Is there a way to get the training to focus on certain things? I couldn't care less about pass blocking and would love to see any increases by my oline go all towards the run game. Will changing the run/pass in the menu under coaching options have any affect on this?

I think the training is completely random. You can save/reload until you get results you like. I've had a guy win the Heisman and get only a +3 in training. Meanwhile some nobody from the 3rd string gets "maximum improvement."

Yeah I don't think there's anything you can do. However, there are a lot of recruits that are skewed toward the run or pass, I recommend recruiting to your preferences.

If I'm not mistaken, you can put a scrambling QB at RB and he'll improve his running ability. Can anyone confirm this?

That is correct. Someone in an online dynasty I am in does this alot. He runs the wildcat quite a bit.

Re: What affects training?

Totally random. I just finished a season with Idaho. Had a receiver who finished with like 50 catches for 800+ yards. He finished 1st team All-WAC. and at the end of the season he was like a 76. I went to off-season and he only progressed a few points. he went to like 79 overall. Highly upset with these training results. Which is why they should bring spring drills and the spring game back

Isn't it also tied in with your prestige somehow?

Re: What affects training?

At the very least, I would like the option to focus training toward my own scheme. For instance, if I am Wisconsin, I would want my OL to focus on improving their run blocking, if I'm Hawaii, I tell them to work on pass protection, etc.
