I see how the recruiting timesavers work, but what about keeping a guy that's trying to leave early for the draft, or get max progression for a player through the season. How do you use those?

I don't have the full one with max progression but i'm guessing you would use it in training...it would automatically do it for you if you have time savers enabled.

same way with recruits leaving although idk if thats part of the time savers
