Anybody ever tried this??

So I'm thinking about creating the max amount of players each off season to come in around 75-81 overall....however I will change their position so that it is closer to 60.

I will then track the recruits and after they hopefully pick a lower prestige team to go to I will change their position back in the off season.

I know with only 20 recruits per season it will probably make a minimal impact....but any little thing can help right?

What is it you're trying to accomplish? Making weak teams stronger?

Re: Anybody ever tried this??

basically...even the mid tier BCS teams. 10-20 seasons ahead I'm getting an overwhelming amount of teams rated C- or worse (just over 1/3 of the teams). It really kills the dynasty experience with that many completely incompetent teams.

I was just wondering if it's been tried before....and if it helps at least a little.

Re: Anybody ever tried this??

I used the slots to create kickers and punter each season. I did this for my last dynasty which only went 7 years in. I just created them and let the chips land where they may. It didn't work very well. They all went to a small number of the better schools. I know Boise St signed 3 of my created kickers in a two year period. I didn't try what you were trying. This is the very reason we need to have the ability to fully edit recruits/players inside the dynasty mode.

Wouldn't this take away the joy of watching other teams progress as individuals instead of just making every team a top 40 caliber team right away.

I guess I don't get what you're trying to say.

I'm kinda pretending it's a "diamond in the rough" deal.
I'm just letting them go where they go...and I don't recruit them...but as it is now the mid tier BCS teams will just get worse and worse.

In my dynasty I've seen San Diego state and Mid Tenn State, become a consistent top 10 team and even win a BCS game or two. You gotta let teams rise by them selves, it justs makes the game more enjoyable. Seeing how a team that you crushed at the beginning of ur dynasty beat you 10 or 20 years later, Kinda like how Boise State and Nevada use to be.

The problem is that after several seasons every team except 5 or 6 elite programs drops dramatically in player rankings because of flaws in recruit distribution. What OP hopes to do is eliminate this drop-off to some degree by randomly distributing "diamonds in the rough."

I think that it sounds like a good idea in theory. If you end up doing it let us know how it works out.
