Re: **NCAA 12 Ratings Predictions Thread**

For Nebraska (hard to say what a lot of ratings should be realistically and what they will be.) Simply for game ratings numbers as certain players rank nationwide, not trying homer BS.

top defensive guys:
-Crick-93 or so? Most certainly a 1st round pick
-Lavonte David-92 or so? Case could be made for higher as he is a freak
-Alfonso Dennard-90+ Underrated corner who was overshadowed last year by Amukamara

top offensive guys:
-Rex Burkhead- 90 I hope. Not overly fast but does everything well and always gains yards.
-Martinez--85+ with gobs of speed and 98 or so accel. Passing is sub par
-Kyler Reed-- 88 or so. Blazing TE who should hopefully come into the spotlight this year.

(case also could have been made for Brandon Kinnie on offense, but Kyler has more big play potential impact in my opinion.)

Top freshman

-Bubba Starling (thankfully the game ships before MLB decisions are made)
-Jamal Turner-moved to WR in spring so hopefully they get this right. Potential to have Bobby Newcombe impact his frosh year (hopefully no knee injury later in his career though.)
-Aaron Green--one of top RBs in nation. Should be a stud.
-Todd Peat Jr--stud DT
-Charles Jackson--stud CB may not redshirt
-Damion Stafford--juco DB should fill PESO roll even if Nebraska doesnt run it as much in Big 10. Big fast safety
-Tyler Moore, Ryne Reeves, Ryan Klachko--three true frosh OL studs who hopefully shore up an underperforming line.

I like those ratings very well done.....

No HOF type ratings for college guys still playing ball or unproven. I hope someone from EA see's your post and gets us back to the lower ratings we used to have 3-4 years ago

Excellent job............

WVU
name - should be rated / WILL be rated

QB Geno Smith - 86 / 90
WR Tavon Austin 83 / 88
LT Don Barclay 84 / 88
LG Josh Jenkins 80 / 90
RT Jeff Braun 76 / 85

DE Julian Miller 88 / 86
DE Bruce Irvin 86 / 92
LB Najee Goode 85 / 85

As a general rule I think a lot of starters will be overrated (especially across the offensive line)

Hopefully it seems like the last two years the rosters have been loaded

My guess is if they're like this year's EA will add 3-5 OVR to each of them just based on them being starters or Michigan

Re: **NCAA 12 Ratings Predictions Thread**

Problem with ratings is they come out far before the season. And before we see how truly great some players are, and how truly overrated others are.

Example. The keep ratings low crowd would probably have said Ndamukong Suh's rating should have been around 90-92 max pre 2010 season. After? I say he was a minimum 98 overall guy, maybe a 99. One of the best DTs to play the game ever. Top 3 defensive players at Nebraska ALL TIME without arguement. That too me is 98-99 material. Preseason? People would have groaned and called bs.

So really I have no problem with some players being ranked as high as they are. Its a COLLEGE game. There are truly great college players every year.

What people should have a problem with is the overrating of top teams (Bama, OU, Texas) every year at EVERY position 2 and 3 deep. And the underrating of other solid teams/programs once you get to mostly unknown players.
Other problem should be that they dont utilize the lower end of the scale.

But really hind sight is 20/20. And EA cant please everyone.

Re: **NCAA 12 Ratings Predictions Thread**

Off topic but...

I pretty much agree, but I'm not on board with the 97-99 OVR being like the best there ever was. They should be rare but most years there should be a guy who is one of these 97+ rated types. Most years there is a guy or two that can be one of the best at their position in the last 5-10 years.

97-99 OVR incredible possible best of the last 10 years players 1-3 tops
90-96 OVR top level talents, rare, unreachable in less than 4 years of college ball Jr (RS) or true Sr should be the only 90's
84-89 OVR all conference performer (BCS Level)
78-83 OVR average starter (BCS Level)

Incoming Fr
80-84 OVR very rare, 1 a year if that (Not necessarily the top rated player)
74-79 OVR 5* players (Most 75-76)
70-78 OVR 4* players (Most 72-75)
64-72 OVR 3* players (Most 65-68)
62-68 OVR 2* players (Most 62-65)

+1 but EA just gives some high ratings because there at a top school. But I agree with the 98-99 thing only seniors and very very good careers
