**NCAA 12 Ratings Predictions Thread**

*Note: This is not a thread to complain about ratings or how your team will "inevitably get screwed by EA", etc.*

So it's always fun to take a stab at what some of the ratings will be when the game releases in just a few short months.

What do you think your team's top players and/or the top overall players will be rated in key areas?

My guesses....

AUBURN

RB Michael Dyer 92 overall
RB Onterrio McCalebb 88 overall 96 speed 96 acceleration 90 agility
TE Phillip Lutzenkirchen 90 overall 90 catch
S Neiko Thorpe 87 overall
WR Trovon Reed 83 overall 92 speed 94 agility 90 acceleration

We have so many new faces on both sides of the ball that I don't know where they'll be. Hopefully EA gives us some defending NC "love" and gives us the usual treatment post championship for ratings.

OVERALL TOP PLAYERS

QB Andrew Luck 99 overall (easiest guess EVER)
RB LaMichael James 97 overall 94 speed 94 acceleration 92 agility
RB Trent Richardson/Marcus Lattimore 94 overall
WR Alshon Jeffrey 97 overall

Just a few guesses.

Re: **NCAA 12 Ratings Predictions Thread**

I plan on streching the ratings after named roster comes out. I liked how NCAA Basketball rated there players, only elite over 85.The max rating will be 93. There will be a lot of 60-80 rated players.
Players over 90
Andrew Luck
Lamichael James
KEllen Moore
Probably Terrelle Pryor
Alshon Jeffery
Justin Blackmon
And few more

Someone at EA has some Miami love but I don't think we'll see Jacory Harris -- errr uh cough cough (lawsuit) QB #12 with a 93 again this year.

I'd be surprised if he broke into the 80's, should be about a 78.

I really really wish EA would do this on the default rosters. It should be a big deal to have a 90+ player on your team, instead of half your starting roster being rated that high. And considering the players in the NCAA game are completely fictitious (), no one can complain about getting a low rating.

Anyhow, staying on topic, I predict the highest rated players being: Andrew Luck, LaMichael James, Dre Kirkpatrick, Alshon Jeffery, Justin Blackmon, Trent Richardson and Greg Childs.

I definetly agree.....never understood the idea of having any current college players with a 99 overall rating....

then when you look at the ratings at fbgratings.com which goes off of NFL combine numbers the avg agility ratings for RB's is 78 very few are in the 90's for agility so i think EA overrates Agility, Speed and Acceleration for all player by 10 points or higher every year in their college football game.

Some of the same players from NCAA that move on to Madden have about a 5 point decrease in speed, accelerationand agility to help stretch the ratings.

Not sure why EA seems to use actual numbers from DATA for Madden Player ratings but assign a lot of random numbers for the NCAA players even the top 20 players in the country.

So your idea of stretch ratings IMO would be very realistic.

Just to give you idea of what i'm talking about i've been tracking the NCAA ratings since 06 and here's an example of how EA has inflated the ratings the last 3-4 years

This is Michigan Roster from NCAA 06....you'll see that very few players were in the 90's and lots of them in the 70's. They had like 6-7 players max with 90+ speed, agility and acceleration
http://www.madden04.com/maddenplanet...l_michigan.htm

This is Ohio St and you'll notice the same type of stretch ratings
http://www.madden04.com/maddenplanet...l_michigan.htm

In NCAA 06 you didn't see QB's and Wr's with 80+ break tackle ability in order to boost up their overall ratings.....very few RB's on each team had 80+ break tackle ability. So EA as you can see has really INFLATED the ratings starting in NCAA 08 from what i've studied

NCAA 07 actually had some type of calculation system installed in the game.....for example if you gave a WR 50 strength his ability to break tackles would be assigned a low rating by the game engine itself

Re: **NCAA 12 Ratings Predictions Thread**

I think one year USC had barely any players under 80. If they are suppose to not use likeness, they still use ratings they would give them if they were allowed to. NCAA Basketball 10 had probably 20 players total over 80 and 5 over 85. I think NCAA Football 11 probably had 20 players over 90. I dont thnk there are too many backups that should have been over 85, even 80.
