defense didnt have a great year last year, but returns four guys who had 10+ tackles for loss. 2009 leading tackler lb shaq wilson returns after missing last year with a hamstring injury. the secondary was the problem last year, but moving akeem auguste back to his more natural position i think will help solidify this group. whoever starts at free safety is really the lone green spot on the defense. too many experienced productive players for it not to be a relatively highly rated unit.

thats my guess, but i havent ever studied the correlation between a certain roster and the letter grades or if the backups have any effect.

That will never happen. No matter what or how many offensive players Tech will lose their defense will never be better than their offense and their offense will never ever be rated below a B. Good try though.

From the team that finished 6th in the nation in total offense, we return most of our receivers (including the Biletnikoff Award winner), our entire offensive line, one of the best quarterbacks in the conference, and two running backs that accounted for nearly 1,200 yards in back up duties last season ... you don't think we'll be better than a B+?

Yah not buying hardly any of those. A&M equal offense to Oklahoma and better than Oklahoma St. Baylor equal Offense then Oklahoma better than Oklahoma St? Texas Tech who returns a lot on offense that bad? Just his opinion but I would have to kindly disagree.

Maybe equal to Okie St but not better or equal to Oklahoma? They have everything back. Yes A&M does too, but I would not compare Taneyhill to Weeden or Jones, maybe close but behind. Griffin is a stud but the rest of them are not equivalent to OU OSU. A&M will have a great offense but not as good.

I think some of them will only be on there because they will be over rated like normal.

We dont know who are RB will be and have questions on the Line

Maybe a B+, our secondary will be nuts this year, Our LB's are Young but very talented and good. Our Line is the question again. If we can get production out of the DT's our defense will be nasty

Special Teams: B-
Our Kicking game is shaky but our punter is good and we have excellent returners, some of the best in the nation. But our FG kicker will be terrible this year if he performs like he did at the spring game.

Overall: B/B+
OSU will go bowling again this year. But the question marks on both lines, at RB and the kicking game we could be 7-5 or potentially 9-3/10-2 if everything goes right for the 10-2
