I agree and you what's worse is there is no different emotion...

Like you could score a 50 yard game winning Td and get he same line as if you scored a Qb sneak during a blowout.

It would add so much to have different voices and new lines all together

My thoughts exactly. Sometimes I play other sports games and it actually feels like a human is calling the game.

Like Gus Johnson in Madden for example, out of nowhere he yells out.....
"GOING UP TOP!!!"

The cues and timing need fixing.

Re: TIME FOR NEW COMMENTARY

It is like a car. The gameplay is the engine. The game itself is the outsides. Presentation is the extra stuff like rims, seats, electronics. Commentary is the speakers/radio. Modes is the gas.
The car looks great. The car engine is needs a few fixing. A lot of extra accessories have been added. The gas is half full. The radio/speakers are old and terrible. After a while you just to listen to the radio anymore.
THe radio/speakers(commentary) desparately needs to be replaced if there is added accessories(presentation).

Re: TIME FOR NEW COMMENTARY

meh, I know I'm in the minority here, but I say it's time for NO commentary. I wish these games would give up trying to mimic tv broadcasts because for the most part they're horrible at it. And beyond that I'm more interested in pretending to play in a real football game rather than watching one on tv.

You know there is an option to mute the commentary...

of course which I do, but you've missed my point I'm talking about a fundamental change in the game presentation. Turning off the commentary doesn't help the other poor attempts at simulating a broadcast

I know what you mean but I like the tv presentations and that is the direction EA and most sports games are going with. We've seen much improvement except for commentary which can also be improved.
