Well... the Mountain West was on the verge of having a legitimate claim at a BCS automatic qualifier when Boise moved in.

But with TCU, Utah, and BYU all leaving, that really killed the conference.

You toss BYU back in, but I don't think it's enough to realistically justify a BCS auto-qualifier.

If realism was what you were going for that is...

By year 2030, that number should be down to 8 teams.
EA typo'd. They say 7 conferences games for 4-8 schools, but a 7-team conference has only 6 conference games, so you'll still get the FCS game, unless they let it slide for 7 teams, which makes no sense for them to write it the way they did. Check your schedules when you get the game to see if that is true.

My source was my own personal experience so it is valid, you havnt brought any different version of Arkansas in the Big12. You brought a story about Alabama and Vandy in the SEC which has nothing to do with an Arkansas move to the Big12. That makes your entire comparison less valid then my direct experience of Arkansas being in the Big 12.

so go ahead and do that yourself and come back and say how it went. If it goes well then great but through many multiple seasons Arkansas never did well in the dynasty in which I moved them. That is a valid story.

i agree with this sentiment.

also if you replace them with clemson, will you re-do your divisions based on geography or just put clemson in the west?

i think it would be more likely that you add texas a&m to the sec if UT becomes independent. then with 13 teams the SEC would look to add a 14th and then you could go with clemson or VT. i say VT because adding clemson doesn't add an extra market as effectively as VT would.

then you have balance in your divisions with tamu in the west and VT in the east. i also think that using the inter division locks that the SEC has (bama vs tenn, AU vs UGA, LSU vs UF etc) that VT vs tamu would be an interesting lock because despite proximity they both are steeped in military tradition and it would be fun for the students and alums.

just my two pennies...

What in your opinion would make them worthy within my alignment?
