I'm sure this is a common "problem" for us all...I haven't missed a single field goal (other than me kicking a ridiculously long field goal and it coming short) since like year 1 of my 9 year dynasty with a bad kicker.

Does messing with the sliders fix anything? Do any of you guys use any house rule style methods like closing your eyes during the kick? haha

I really wish there was a way to make the meter more difficult to master. Even if my kicker is rated a 97, I should still miss from time to time. Maybe make wind a bigger factor?

just recruit a 1 star kicker, especially on NCAA 11 those guys are garbage

Move the sliders. A very low kicking accuracy slider will cause the ball to really slice if you don't aim it perfectly.

Another option (probably in conjunction with the slider tweaks) would be to not allow yourself to aim left or right presnap. This means that if you're on a hash you'll have to either slice or hook the ball through instead of kicking it straight through. Again, with a very low accuracy setting, the slices/hooks are very pronounced.

The only thing about that is that it makes it pretty much impossible to make long field goals because almost all of those guys come out with D or lower KPW.

Does anyone know what the effect of having a kicker with low accuracy rating has on a user kicker?

Cool. Thanks for the tip. I think I'll lower it to 25 and see how that goes.

I don't remember off-hand what my sliders are set to, but I'm able to miss some field goals, even with a good kicker. It seems pretty good with my current kicker who has 99 KPW, but only like 68 KAC, so I tend to miss quite a few at medium to long range because of his bad accuracy. That and I think my right thumb stick is getting worn out and sometimes sticks to a certain side. lol
