All that I'm hearing about for dynasty mode is coaching carousel. Can you still just pick a team and play a dynasty not trying to get coaching jobs.

Yes you can choose to be the HC, OC, or DC at any school you want and never have to leave if you don't want to.

This, and you can also choose to turn coaching contracts off at the start of the dynasty so you can't be fired and you cant receive new job offers as well.

So is coaching carousel just a feature of dynasty mode or is it dynasty mode and I can just pick to be the head coach?

It's part of Dynasty that you can ignore if you'd like.
