Re: Do you document your dynasty?

I keep up with my Dynasties. Have about 20 seasons of Ole Miss football under my belt as Sim Head Coach! This goes back to playing with dice and charts back in the 70s when I was in high school. (Based that system on the old Bowl Bound boardgame)

I then progressed to computer games. At first on the Apple II then moved into the PC. Finally I had not simmed a season in a decade or more...middle aged guy you know...had lost interest in gaming. Thats until I saw NCAA football on a console at a big box store. Could not freaking believe the graphics...bought a system and HDTV and the Sim Rebels live on!

Just keep the records in binder notebooks for myself generally don't post up the dynasty for others...oh yeah, Three National Championships.

I actually miss Dynasty Central. I loved that website. Wish another just like it would open up. Avid is just a bit much for me.

Re: Do you document your dynasty?

I am on my 6th season of my Virginia Tech Hokies dynasty of NCAA 2011 (see sig), and what makes mine unique, is I have the sliders extremely hard, and each season, I have always had that one loss that kept me from the National Championship. Some people get no named schools and are national title contenders within 2 seasons...I am 6 in and just this season, I am primed for the title run, which has been an awesome run so far. I present mine in a school/local newspaper type format with pictures, highlight clips, and full re-caps. I even took the time to develop my own headline/letter head to lead off every article/re-cap. I also have on going storylines to keep things interesting and fresh. For example, Frank Beamer was offered the job at Notre Dame, and I now have an annual game against Notre Dame every season called the Lunch-Pail Bowl. Bud Foster is now headcoach of my Hokies, and I had him step down as defensive coordinator, and hired Dick Bumpas as my D-Coordinator and I utilized 4-2-5 from TCU. I also hired Chris Ault from Nevada, and run the pistol offense. Has really added a lot of fun and excitement.

I have a lot of fun posting mine, and I've gotten a lot of views, and a lot of great feedback. check it out sometime if you get some free time!

Honestly, I don't know. I did put a lot of work into it, and IIRC, I got pretty busy with life. This year I shouldn't be so busy. Thanks for the props, man. It means a lot.

I can see if it's a Dynasty Wire thing and you're doing it with league members or something, but this sounds more like a solo venture.
No offense taken. I like to create a free website and plug in all my past players and keep stats and record videos. I think it's cool to look back on and I like to let others view the history of my dynasty as well.

I feel the same way about online ranked games. I see no point to it and feel as though it's a waste of time. Hey if they like it go for it! To each their own

Re: Do you document your dynasty?

I read degeezy's all the time and I use to read stewatt's last year( what ever happened to that guy ). I've even read mmboost's from time to time. I've done my own with New mexico State never posted it but I feel like GIGGAS it becomes consuming at times. I need something more streamlines so that it won't take so long. I may try Dynasty Wire in a single player OD but the only reason I didn't last year was b/c of no contracts but that has been fixed. The only other things I hate about OD is that you can't change the CPU coach settings and you can't change the other teams uniforms b4 you play.
