Would it be totally unrealistic to add a few pistol formations to a spread option team?? Clemson in particular...

note they will pretty much be running the exact same thing as Auburn and Tulsa did last year.

Also where is there a list of formations in the game.... I don't have 11 anymore..

I actually did read it, but you never specified your method of removing formations. You could just remove a couple of shotgun, ace, and I form formations, still leaving some of everything. But nice try on that one.

Well anyways, that would be crazy to have that many formations in one playbook. To save face and not get anybody panties in a knot. I wanna some ideas not no war. As far for the nice try. I may have posted on the other forum and not this one so, things for the heads up.

Actually that fits together. Most of the formations are power running and everbody has some sort of spread formation to move the briskly when needed. It's not unrealistic. It actually fits together pretty well and have a philosophy.

OP when you build your offense have a plan of attack and find formations that will let you have the plays to support that plan. Formations by themselves are not really the offense. The multiple offense had a lot of different formation philosophies too.

The formations are not as important as the philosophy. There are things im trying to do and 29 of the 35 formations do just that.

24 variations of the I, 3 more fullback formations and 2 primary shotgun run formations. 2 under center passing formations and 4 shotgun passing formations but only 2 without any running backs. The playbook will have some QB option but it will depend on the QB. pocket passer will trade hand offs for option plays and mobile qb its vice versa.

The most used formation is Shotgun, but it's a power run book? Name me a team that that applies to.

What sort of formations would you go with for a spread option team, say 70% run, and the qb will be running but mainly by option plays not designed plays.

I want to add in a few pistol formations also, i just love the formation.

The base playbook will be clemson, which will be pretty much tulsas from last year with minimal changes I'd suspect.

These are some of the formations I will use
