Question When you make it to Head coach

Do you get to hire who you want as your OC and DC or is that done by the school/computer?

It doesn't really matter, seeing as they have no effect on the game.

Yea, you're going to be calling all your own plays and doing all your recruiting as far as I know so they have no effect. It is just in there so it doesn't seem weird how you are a coordinator, but then coordinators are gone once you are coach.

Coordinators are gone once you're the coach? That make no sense at all to me. That can't be true because that would pretty much defeat the reasons behind CC.

They aren't gone, they just don't serve any purpose. As noted above, if you're the HC, you do all recruiting, select your own playbooks (regardless of what your coordinators have) and you call all of the plays on both sides of the ball.

Re: When you make it to Head coach

I thought it was stated in the CC blogs that coordinators also come and go based on the continous, fluid nature of CC. If so, your program, as head coach, would see movement in the OC and DC positions over the years regardless of your wish to keep them around.

To say that they don't matter should also be flawed since the CPU will select coordinators to fill positions at other schools based on skills, alma mater, etc. Otherwise, what would distinguish one candidate from the next?

Sure, as HC you recruit, call plays, and do all the work, but the OC and DC should still have an impact on your program!

If not, then this is a serious flaw in the game.
