Re: Custom Conference's ?

Isn't that why we now have protected rivals? And does anyone know if a team can have more than 1? More importantly can they be OOC as well?

When you customize your conferences you can then choose a single protected rival from the opposing division in that same conference. Any other "protected rivalries" are hard coded in so that when the system creates your schedules it is supposed to try and schedule those historic rivalries that a team has out of its conference.

Re: Custom Conference's ?

Notre Dame has too many games classified as rivals. Their primary rival in 11 was USC so that game should have always been scheduled. Pittsburgh is in conference now, and after that, the other 6 would probably be schedule first come first serve if at all. I'd imagine it would look at more than the primary in the case of teams like Notre Dame, Army/Navy/Air Force.

The Iron Bowl is not a bad example. It's a perfect example. You took 2 teams that were once in the same division and now made it where scheduling eachother is no longer required and it manages to do it. As long as it also tries to do that for secondary rivals, I'll be happy. I'm going to have to do a lot of schedule checking with my classic setups to make sure it's not doing any crazy stuff with FCS scheduling because it could get out of control. More independents, though, should make it nice hopefully.
