I don't think realistic stats are ever possible in this game, man. I managed to
put up 35 points on Heisman in the demo, and in regulation...Which is extremely
nutty, of course.
Luckily we have Coach Mode this year(the main reason I am buying NCAA 12 after taking several years off from the series.) Your never going to get a realistic game if you are controlling the players. Hopefully Coach Mode will give us a realistic game.

Sure you can. Too many people, though, play unrealistically; rushing the snap, throwing it deep to take every advantage of the computer, etc... Now, ok, I haven't played nearly enough on this gen as last gen. The last gen, the computer didn't rush everything so in a 40 minute game, I'd get the correct number of plays in most games and reasonable stats over a season. In this gen, maybe that isn't as easy to accomplish.

Re: Quarter Length

For nearly every year, I've gone 7 minute quarters. Last year I bumped it to 8 minutes, and found that I was averaging 120-140 plays a game combined, which is on par with an average game in NCAA. With a ball-control offense, that 8 minutes tends to fly by.

Re: Quarter Length

Usually 7-8 minutes works fine as long as I'm getting a realistic number of plays per game. I do wish NCAA was like Madden in the sense that Madden 10 (last Madden I've owned) let me play 15 minute quarters with 25 second runoff and it worked perfectly in terms of realism.

I agree, xcef. The clock in NCAA needs work. Besides the lack of acceleration options, the clock doesn't work correctly after first downs.
