Self Imposed Dynasty Rules

I thought there might be some good ideas in this thread. There are, but I'm surprised at the number of bad ones. Alternating possessions with punts? That's not even real football. So much for capturing any momentum. You can't pass the ball? Is this 1940?

You guys have fun, but count me out.

Eh-- to each their own. I personally didn't really like the rules all that much when we were using them (again...didn't last very long), but it did mix it up. Now with a deeper RTG mode we won't have to do dumb **** like that to continue to make it fun when we're kicking the cpu's butt...or we could just get some more Users...WITHOUT those rules of course.

Mine Are
1. Like many, no FCS teams. If one is on my schedule ill replace it with a Eastern Michigan or something to give my players a little bit more of a challenge
2. No changes to schedule in season 1 (except for swapping FCS teams with a 1*)
3. No money plays like 4 Verticals (this year shouldnt be a problem)
4.Once Im up by 28-35 points ill put most of the backups in to get some looks
5. And the obvious, NO RESTARTS play the same game win or lose

I play all of my non conference games away just so I can see more stadiums.

When I saw your post it reminded me of one that I use and forgot which is along the same lines of when im up by 25 to sub in 2nd string.

The only one I can remember that I repeat every year is if an incoming freshman comes in and is the same ratings as the incumbent at the position, I redshirt the freshman to give him an extra year to mature.

Yeah, some goofy ideas in this thread, imo. I only have a couple things that i do.

- Max of 2 five stars and 5 four stars per class...after five years of this you can really tell a difference in your depth. No more all conference players on the punt coverage team lol.

- No cuts whatsoever. If you sign a turd he's with you for 4 or 5 years.

- Also, I generally schedule all my out of conference games against top 10 teams. I want the national championship to mean something if I get there.
