Playing on a 3:4 TV, Can't See Sidelines Pre Snap

I appreciate the input, but I am not in position to buy a new screen at this time. And when I do buy an HD TV (once I find work after just graduating...again), it's going to be a larger one. I'd rather not skimp out on a smaller set when I'm going to be getting something later.

Thanks for all the input, it's helpful and I'll try some of the other option with the TV for now. Hopefully setting the xbox's settings to something different will help.

Back on track from the tv snob talk ( ), I had the same problems on 07 and 08 when I had a 480p TV. I was never able to find a setting that made it work. Hopefully someone can chime in and help you out though. Good luck.

Thanks, I did get some good help from someone on the first page.

All I had to do was to change my console display setting from full screen to wide screen. Amazingly, I don't get any black bars either. Maybe it helps that I'm using component cables, I dunno. Things are a little more jammed together in the menus, bu no shapes of images are distorted. Thankfully, I just seem to get a more zoomed out picture instead of anything distorted.

Thanks again for the help, and hopefully this thread helps others out. I went through four seasons passing blind to the sidelines in NCAA 10. Hopefully I'm still just as good at reading defenses at the snap.
