I'm seriously thinking about starting to use the FS. I got a question. Do you guys hold A(defensive assist) until you're in position or do you control from the snap?
Thanks

I like to hold LT and slowly back up at the snap, then you just need to move left right as you feel you need to if you're in a zone, and if in man just wait for the break and jump the route.

I even like to purposefully let my man be open if he's running a short route but try to stay in striking distance to get the pick or make the big hit.

another question do you guys control the safety for the whole play like lets say its a run and theres no way the fs can impact the play, or kets say its a pass on the right side of the field and the cb, lb, or ss have a shot at a swat or pick, do u switch or sit back still controlling the fs

I control the FS the whole way, too much switching players mid play while the opponent is in full stride leads to too many bad angles and missed tackles.

Hey, I like to keep things competitive lol...I'm on PS3 tho. But whenever the stars align, I'll take that challenge.

If I can't impact the play, then just sit back. If it's a run you can't get to, just be in position in case he breaks loose into the secondary. If it's a pass on the other side of the field, normally my guy is fast enough to make a play after the catch. I'm a big fan of switching, but it depends on the type of pass and the players around. If it's 1 on 1, sometimes when you switch the player would just do some funky movement that will actually take you out the play. If other players are around, you might not always switch to the guy that you want to, and you'll take him out of position to make a play.

But control him the whole play is the best way, especially if you're in zone. Some players act like they don't see the play developing (run or pass) and would keep backing up. So I think it would depend on the speed of the player and how confident you are with yourself. I personally believe FS is the easiest position in football and if you know what you doing...well beautiful things will happen.
