Def. Coordinator only coaches a few series?

I've started a dynasty as the DC for Wake Forest. After playing through three games, I've coached no more than 3 or 4 series per game. Is this the way it's supposed to work? I figured I might have to build trust or something before they let me call all the defensive series, but hadn't seen anyone else mention it.

I'm currently the DC for PITT in my dynasty and I coach every defensive series my team has.

How long are your quarters?

8 minutes. I'm only getting to handle about a third of the defensive series, if that.

You sure you aren't simming over them by accident? Because I have played every series as OC...and that is with 5min quarters.

Make sure you are picking the "SKIP UNTIL ON FIELD" (Blue X button on 360) option after your defense goes off the field. If you are picking "SKIP AHEAD" you could skip past times when your defense it out there and it will get simmed.

Not sure if thats whats happening but just making sure. I have played 1.5 seasons as DC at Michigan and I get to play every defensive series. I wish it let you do Special Teams as well because sometimes kick and punt returns and so on make it seem like you are off the field when you shouldn't be as well.
