Advice to help the PS3 Graphics

Seems like EA dropped the ball on the PS3 graphics this year. But one thing that i noticed that helps is to make sure you have your settings on your TV maxed out with all the processing that is typically on for watching blue ray movies. In other words, do not have "game mode" switched on.

I am playing on a Sharp Aquos 60" LCD and was very disappointed playing in game mode. But when i switched it to standard or dynamic modes the game looked much better. Not perfect to be sure, but much better than game mode. The jaggies smoothed out a little bit and the picture appeared a bit sharper.

Still hoping for a patch for this (but doubt it's coming). Hope this helps in the meantime.

TV does not improve graphics. If you lower the sharpness to 0 that improves the jaggies but people need to realize graphics cannot be improved with patches.

A patch certainly could help with graphics. But it would need to be a pretty extensive one which is why I doubt we'll see one coming.

Well, Have a look at MBL 2K10 before and after patch number 2 (I had it on 360 by the way), graphics improvement was really noticeable in terms of jaggies. So a patch could enable a graphics filter and improve a game theoretically.

Why don't you just calibrate Game Mode? I've done that on my set, granted a lot of stuff is turned off but it's all post processing stuff. I still have access to color, contrast, brightness, gama, etc. Does you set allow this? I have a Sammy and don't know about Sharp. I didn't get it exact but I got close enough that it looks good.
