I might add, a Dynasty mode where everything works the day the game is shipped would be nice. Coaching Progression glitch...National Televised Games glitch...Swaying recruits jumps preferences to "Most" in one try...Custom conferences scheduling glitch....

Seriously. it'd be nice to have the Dynasty Mode work the day I buy the game.

Fantastic Post, Born has made several great posts over the years, if only EA would hire him as a consultant for their game.

One thing I would love for them to add is something that NFL Head Coach did....make players/recruits system specific. A QB of a certain type has an overall rating higher in the system he would work best in, and have a downright awful rating in a system that he won't excel in.

Another thing is playbook learning, how complex your playbook is, your coaching grade for teaching, and how good a players learning grade is will affect his playbook knowledge. Players would either get a stat boost or reduction depending on their knowledge of your playbook.

Great read, I feel your analysis is a step in the right direction for college football. I hope the developers read this and try to apply it to the future college games. Nothing wrong with taking the show's route and not fixing if not broke, once we get certain things in.

Great post man. I was going to do something similar but was going to wait for the game to be released for a while before doing it. You nailed almost all of your points.

Great article! I miss those magazine covers, Heisman shows, and scoring updates. It's little things like these that can make the game so much better. I also feel like doing things like that shouldn't be so hard since they already did them. Someone earlier hit the main point which is the focus on online play has taken over dynasty aspects. I wish one year they really just sit down and do a big focus on dynasty instead of online stuff.

I'd forgotten about several of these things that were taken away. The offline dynasty score scroll was terrific. The magazine covers were simple but rewarding. The write-your-own fan signs. Anything that improves offline dynasty is most welcome, including the return of these deleted features.
