Need Community Help For Crash After Press Start

dobz back again, just got the press start crash for the 2nd time, occurred the identical same way for me this time as last. playing someone in an unranked online game (first time was a random person this time a friend) finish the game it goes back to the main menu screen says autosaving which is turned off and crashes, restart the game at the console, remote wont respond and when it boots up it crashed at loading after pressing start, didnt remove any files same as last time

No online games here before the crash. This may be a dumb thought, but I remember some of the roster makers saying they were having trouble naming the players because of the profanity filter. A way they found around this was to name the players offline I believe. My question is how often and/or when does the game check that when you are signed in? Is it running into this and saying WTH, how did that get by me? Then it corrupts the file and the game locks up. lol, once again, I just thought about this and didn't go in depth with it at all, so there may be a very simple answer I didn't think of.

I think the crash when exiting an online game is the cause of the roster file corruption, and ultimately the cause of the Press Start crash. I have a lead on it and am investigating my hunch right now.

Do you know the approximate date/time you hit the crash when exiting the online game?

The info I found about your autosave crash seems to confirm the hunch I had. It looks like the autosave is happening at the same time the roster file is being loaded. This has the potential to save a partially loaded roster file. A partially loaded roster file is a corrupt roster file and will cause the Press Start crash. I think I have enough info to create a real fix for this issue now.

Also, if people want to prevent themselves from getting this crash, I'd say turning off autosave is a good idea. Make sure to manually save your profile after turning off autosave so that the setting "sticks".

Just got this glitch and now using the low impact solutions my custom playbooks have not worked since...

after using low impact method when u load ur profile u also need to go in and load your custom playbook under file management, but instead of just using the low impact go in remove your roster files then turn off autosave, after doing that just redownload the roster files you want and you should be good to go

There isn't a load custom playbook section in file management.
