Sorry fellas, I don't mean to sound like a total scrub (even though I am) but how do you player-lock? I hit L3 or R3, I forget which (PS3) but it seems to lock onto the center (I play MLB in RTG) instead of a HB?

You've got to switch players before you player lock. So hold B and use the left analog to choose the player you want, and then click the right analog.

Circle on PS3.

So if I'm on defense, press circle until I find the offensive player I want to highlight? That's it? Man, that's so simple! EDIT: Whooops, sorry. Circle, THEN R3 to lock, right?

Whenever I lock on D if i'm away from the play(which i usually am because i use d-lineman) half the time a big play happens. I usually call blitz one-thrid of the time and they over pursue. If I don't call blitz there is no pressure. I'm kinda scared to play linebacker or defensive back. Is it my play calling? Or is it the AI or me?

same here. I don't mind the first person view (I loved the helmet cam isolation from NFL 2K5), but the rapidly rotating camera angle is just too harsh when the play gets close to you.

It would be nice if the perspective was based on your player not the football.

I completely agree with that. I seriously can't go from NCAA to Madden just because I love defensive player lock so much.

Just with EA would add it to Madden because it makes my NCAA experience so enjoyable.

It really doesn't make sense since EA has said that the two games now share the same engine. You'd think it would be relatively easy for them to put into Madden, but just like the in-game save, it doesn't appear to be happening anytime soon.

Ah well, I probably only have time for one football game this fall anyway, so I'll just enjoy using Player Lock in NCAA. I think I'm going to run a couple of Dynasties; one where I control the MLB on defense and another where I'm a FS.
