I don't use it, I love calling my own plays and "being the coordinator"

I will for routine plays, like going to FG or Punt, since its just faster.

Off topic, but you can press Y(Triangle) to bring up the special teams formation up instantly and I'm pretty sure it brings up FG if in range automatically.

I like how it now tells you how long the FG attempt will be if you elect to kick. I'm bad at math so many times I would think a FG was a good 5 yards shorter that it really was, only to wonder why my kicker just missed a 40 yarder that was really a 45 yarder.

Re: Ask Coach...Do you

In ask coach there are like 5 screens of plays to use.
I always use ask coach because i don't like to flip through different formations.
I usually dont care about formations or anything.
When i am passing the ball I am just looking for the route that i want.
If i need 5 yard i run a quick slant.
Need 10 or more i will run a deep slant which is the route the tight end runs on 4 verticals. or just a streak.

When im running the ball i look for Power O which is the best run play in the game.
If i need a short 1 yard gain i just go with a dive.

why would u let the cpu call ur plays in coach mode? doesnt that defeat the purpose of coach mode? ur doing nothing essentially.

I only use Ask Coach. It saves time, offers the right plays for the situation and is more realistic than thumbing through an entire playbook during a game.

to be fair and honest, the full play book on the game is nowhere near the size of a real playbook. and it only takes 10 seconds at the most to find a play. u should know what u want to do in a given down and distance and know where to find plays that fit what u want to do in ur playbook. its not that complicated IMO.
