it is halfway realistic because most of the recruiting will not even be done by the head coach in real life.
The coordinators do most of the talking and they may visit them.
If the recruit is very important then of course the head coach will talk to them more.

The only unrealistic thing about it is that the Offensive coordinator would not be recruiting defensive players.

If u go to rivals.com u can find many of the defensive committed recruits in the class of 2012 have been recruited by qb coaches, receiver coaches, and a few offensive coordinators. At a program, they send the best person they feel that can persuade a player to come to the program, not neccesarrily play for that person that comes and recruits them.

The whole OC and DC options is this game sounded good on paper but in reality its just limits your experience. Watching the game sim and play horrible while you play your *** off on one side of the ball while the other side loses the game for you is annoying and using a workaround to NOT recruit on one side of the ball is just asinine...
