Tips for RTG Mode?

Hey all. So I just bought this game and having not played an NCAA Football title since, I think, 2003 or 2004, I'm having a lot of trouble with Road to Glory mode.

I think it's maybe just because I suck, but I've got a couple of questions regardless.

First of all, let me preface this by saying that I cheated and bought the 5 star prospect pack for all available positions.

Basically I'm trying to get into RTG mode but am having trouble because I can't find a position that I really enjoy to play. I'd prefer to play on the defensive side of the ball but hate playing coverage whatsoever because of the AWFUL camera that EA makes us use. So I'm forced to play Defensive Tackle. My only problem is that I'm terrible at this position. Any tips for DT?

On the offensive side of the ball, I'm having a lot of trouble finding a position that I enjoy playing. I HATE playing quarterback because I absolutely hate it when I make a PERFECT pass to my wide receiver or tight end and they just drop it like absolute ******s...after having this happen to me like 8 gorgeous passes in a row I can safely say that I won't be playing quarterback anymore. So what's your favorite offensive position to play in RTG mode, and what advice/tips/strategies do you have/use?

Thanks so much, and sorry for the long post!
