Clock too slow?

Before I put this into the Bug/Glitch thread, I wanted to see if I was doing something wrong.

Playing in Dynasty, I noticed that while at the play select screen both the play clock and game clock were moving way too slow. I'd say that it took 1.5 - 2 seconds in real time to run off 1 second in game time. Is this a bug, or is it a setting I'm missing?

Re: Clock too slow?

It should only do this if the clock is stopped on the field for a 1st down. The clock slows down. This is why I hate when people moan that the clock doesn't start correctly on 1st downs. It does, but it tries to give you time... don't know why. It's just something they did.

Re: Clock too slow?

So if I get a 1st down, then the clock will slow down when I go into the play select screen?

Re: Clock too slow?

Yep. I noticed it too. I have the balanced clock mode so it runs down to like 30, then it's 29......... 28......... 27......... then once you pick your play it's normal. Should only be happening when first downs are made and the clock starts when the ball is set by the ref, which happens in the background.

Probably like how the last 5 seconds of a half or a game run off slow.

Re: Clock too slow?

Adding further nonsense to this is the fact that, once you enter the play-calling screen, aboout 5-6 seconds are fast-forwarded off of the game clock.

This is silly.

Re: Clock too slow?

OK, I think it's broken.

Playing last night I noticed that the clock slowed down on all plays, not just when I made a first down.

I even timed it. 25 NCAA 12 seconds = 38 real seconds

Re: Clock too slow?

The only time I have noticed the clock moving slowly is when there is a replay playing in the background as it goes to the play call screen. Maybe to give you time to both watch the replay and choose your play?
