Re: Need tips for running Oregons offense

All of these are good tips, but please remember one thing: A spread is not an Air raid. The spread offense is used to get your playmakers the ball in space as the video said. If you line up in shotgun and there are less than 6 guys in the box automatically audible to a run. This is the point of a spread. A spread runs the football when there is a numerical advantage. When the defense respects the run, and puts more than 6 guys in the box, you can stretch them down the field. I run the spread in my OD with Florida, and Rainey at RB is just murdering people. From screens and runs I make sure my best players get the ball. With James and barner keep ur RBs fresh. In this game, running a Read option works against "Typical" defenses. If you try to read a 1-5-5 Prowl ur gunna get Fd up because ur Oline goes into "dumb" mode. I have loads of success with my spread offense, so if you need more tips let me know.

EDIT: I ran oregons offense last year, and used them as a base in my custom playbook. The spread is dangerous when run properly
